Doujinshi Translation Project --Update

Hello, everyone! It's been a while, hasn't it?

With the help of <lj user="blackspandex"> I've finally been able to get my hands on all 3 parts of a Roy/Riza doujinshi called 'Parallel Love' by the doujinshi circle 527! It's a cute doujinshi that takes place during Roy's days as Riza's father's apprentice. It's all completely work safe, no worries about any questionable content.

I'm still looking for a translator for this short series. I have an incomplete translation of the second part, but no one has attempted the first and third parts. Again, I can't pay for translation, but if there are any fans out there willing to translate for the rest of us, please let me know right away! I'd love to make the scanlations available.

If anyone can help with this project in any way I'd be very grateful!

If you missed out on getting these scans before and would like download links, please send me a message and I will give them to you (I'm nervous about legal issues about distribution, so I won't be posting links here). I have raw scans of all three parts.

PLEASE  don't share the links/scans anywhere without permission. Thank you.

At this time, all 3 parts have been translated and are awaiting scanlation. A new post to this community will be made as soon as the scanlations are available. Thanks to all who participated in this project. :)

I'd love to help out with the translation- but does it have furigana (tiny letters next to the big artistic words)? It'd be much easier with furigana, if it doesn't have them I can't promise how much I can be help...but I'll try my best! XD

no furigana from the looks of it, most doujinshi don't have them since they target an older audience than shounen manga magazines do D:

Hello! I still haven't managed to score a translator, but I did download the third part from all_twelve. It's lovely - thank you for getting and scanning it! If you're willing to plug this project on fm_alchemist or hagaren_manga, which have much bigger circulations, I think you might reach a wider audience, especially if you include a few of the more beautiful pages for sample. This is an unusual and unusually adept doujin with gorgeous, slick art and great visual storytelling, and it delves into an area of manga canon lots of people are very curious about. Royai shippers will obviously love it, but I think it's got buckets of appeal to all kinds of fans of the FMA manga.

You are very welcome! I was thinking of plugging to fm_alchemist, but I think I'll check with blackspandex first. You're right, we'd reach alot more people and hopefully find a willing translator!

When I first saw some sample pages of this doujin, I knew I had to have it! It seems to have a great story, and the art alone is gorgeous enough to purchase it for.

Thanks for the suggestion! Once I get the go ahead, I'll be making a pos over at fm_alchemist. :)

Oh my, younger them is my weakness. I only wish I could help. I'd feel guilty asking for them when I'd just be drooling over the pretty art.

... just looking up 'Parallel Love' on e-bay wasn't a very good idea either T_T;

Ohhhh Royai doujinshi!!!Can I have the links please!?
I already have translated some doujinshi so I will take a look on them even if handwriting is not easy. Is there some people already translating them? I think I could help someone, I'm not english so doing the entire thing would be very hard ^^

These look gorgeous. I would very much like a link, it it's possible? My Japanese is not very good though; it's getting barely good enough to get through one of these and I feel I'm not ready to inflict my translations on the public but I'd try my best to help.

I'd love to have a link just to look at the pretty pictures... I have no idea how to read Japanese at all, so it's be up to me to just try and interpret what the heck is going on. I've never had a chance to read a non NC-17 doujinshi of Royai and if at all possible once it gets translated if I could have a link to it, I'd die a very happy person.

The pretty pictures are totally worth it! And I agree, this is probably the first non-explicit Royai doujin I've ever seen. If we can successfully scanlate this, I'll make it available to the Royai community. It really depends on the skills/help of the community to translate it. Keep your fingers crossed!

I would pay someone to scanslate all of the 527 doujins because they all look freaking amazing. I just wish there was some way that that doujin circle could create those with english translations because I would seriously buy a copy of every single one.

Oh my god, I've really loved 527's work for years now, but this doujinshi has been one pain in the ass to find... (same with the others, unfortunately... though I really haven't searched for them anymore.)

I wish I was fluent in Japanese! But, well, I can only do the kawaii stuff. And all my friends who know Japanese, they aren't probably just elite enough for translating a whole story, plus they aren't really royai fanatics... but would you mind to send me the link too? thank you so much for this!

I can't read Japanese either, but I would love a link if you're still giving them out. :) I am studying Japanese when I start uni next year though, so I may be able to translate in four years or so when I'm finished my course, but I'm sure you're looking for something more in the short-term. :P

Still no luck on translators eh? I still have part 1 somewhere on my harddrive so I could give parts 1 and 3 a stab when I have some time, but you're still going to need someone to finish my untranslated bits of part 2 u__u;;

I remember there being someone who quite speedily translated/summarized the last doujinshi posted here...perhaps they could be persuaded to help?
